Bacterial vaginosis is, to say the least, a very uncomfortable and embarrassing infection. If you think you have or might be getting bacterial vaginosis (BV), then you have come to the right place. I’m going to discuss the symptoms of bacterial vaginosis and possible health concerns tied in with these symptoms.
Here are the symptoms of bacterial vaginosis:
1. Foul, fish-like odor
2. Pain during sex
3. Itching and Burning
4. Swelling
5. Thin white or grayish discharge with same foul, fishlike odor.
If you are experiencing symptoms of bacterial vaginosis as well as other symptoms not on this list, you might have multiple complications. A yeast infection if very common during or after your brush with bacterial vaginosis. A simple doctor’s visit and testing can quell any fear of multiple complications.
During your BV infection, you are at risk to other health concerns as well.
- You are more prone to contracting HIV if you come into contact with the virus.
- If you have HIV, your chances of passing it on to your partner are high.
- Increases your risk of contracting STDS.
- Increases your risk of PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) during an abortion, hysterectomy and other types of pelvic surgeries or procedures.
- You can have complications during your pregnancy.
- Latex condoms are weakened during intercourse when they come into contact with bacterial vaginosis. This can increase your chances of condom failure, leading to unplanned pregnancy or worse, STDs.
Little is known about the actual causes of bv, but we do know what causes the symptoms of bacterial vaginosis. Gardnerella and other harmful bad bacteria live in your vagina, but they are kept in check by fluctuating amounts of lactobacilli and other good organisms. The gardnerella and other harmful organisms produce the uncomfortable symptoms of bacterial vaginosis when their numbers increases drastically. Any change in your daily habit or routine can bring upon this change.
I struggled with bacterial vaginosis for 3 years. Doctors kept prescribing antibiotics, (clindamycin phosphate, tinidazole and metronidazole), and nothing seemed to work! It just kept coming back over and over again. I was so shocked when I found out that antibiotics actually weakened my body’s natural defense against infections!
When I was at my wit’s end, I stumbled upon a Natural BV Treatment. It taught me everything I would ever need to know and how to use my body to naturally cure BV for good. Needless to say, it cleared my BV up in 3 days, and it hasn’t returned yet!
Don’t be like me and struggle with bacterial vaginosis for years. Cure it now for good!
